Hotel Information:

Our local organiser has suggested the following hotels that have special rates with the University. They are all in the vicinity of a tram stop from which you can get to the venue.

Please use the code 'University of Bordeaux event' to get the University rate at the time of booking.

HUMANE cannot guarantee that any rates given by the hotel are the best rates available particularly now with the many online hotel providers such as booking.comhotels.com, etc, and we suggest you also check online.

Accompanying Person:

Would you like to bring somebody to attend the social programme with you? It's possible to have an accompanying person. The fee is €80. This allows your accompanying person to attend the lunches and dinner. This does not allow access to the seminar sessions. Please reserve your accompanying person when you register or email the Secretariat.

Lunch and Dinner:

Lunch and dinner on Thursday and Friday will be provided for participants.

Please inform the HUMANE secretariat about any special dietary needs as soon as possible by returning the Participant's Information Form (which you will receive upon registration) to the Secretariat

Social Programme:

Our hosts will arrange a convivial informal seminar dinner on the Thursday evening.

Full details will be announced shortly.

As ever, participants’ partners are most welcome to attend the social events.  

Getting to Bordeaux

By air

From Bordeaux-Mérignac International Airport

The airport is located 12 kilometres from the city centre and is well connected to it by public transport. The Liane 1 bus service connects the airport to the city center and runs every 10 minutes from Monday to Friday and every 20 minutes during weekends. Public transport tickets are available for purchase, in the 3 press shops called Relay of the airport, from a vending machine in the food court of Hall B, located near the bus stop for Liane 1, or directly from the bus driver (with the exact amount – change only). The ticket price for a single journey is €1.70.

The bus stop is located in hall B, gate 7. Stop at the Gambetta-Meriadeck station. Then, take tramway line B, towards Pessac Centre or France Alouette, and stop at Victoire station. The journey takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on traffic.

A Navette shuttle bus is also available from the terminal building (Hall B). Shuttle buses run every 30 minutes directly to the Saint-Jean railway station. The journey takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The ticket price for a single journey is €8 and can be purchased online. Tickets do not necessarily have to be printed, as long as they are available on your smartphone or tablet.

By rail

From the Saint-Jean railway station take tram C towards Gare de Blanquefort/Parc des expositions/Matmut Atlantique and stop at Quinconces station.Then, take tramway line B, towards Pessac Centre or France Alouette, and stop at Victoire station.

Or, it is also possible to reach the venue from the Saint-Jean railway station with a 20 minutes walk, via “Cours de la Marne”.
