Matti Kajaste

Head of Business Intelligence, Helsinki University, FI
Matti Kajaste works as the Head of Institutional Research and Analysis at the University of Helsinki.
He runs a team of experts in statistical analysis and BI reporting, supporting the leadership of the largest university in Finland.
Kajaste has previously worked in the Ministry of Education and Culture Science Policy Unit and spent (too) many years in the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre conducting evaluations of Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences.
Deborah Nusche

Deborah Nusche is a Senior Analyst in the OECD’s Directorate for Education and Skills, where she currently leads projects on Trends Shaping Education and Education Policies for a Sustainable Future.
With the OECD since 2007, Deborah has conducted country-specific policy reviews for over 20 different education systems and has published on issues spanning educational leadership and teacher policy; resourcing and governance; equity, diversity and inclusion; and evaluation and assessment.
Her current work focuses on the intersection between futures thinking, sustainability and education.

Raili Pönni

Development Director, Aalto University, FI
Doctor of Science Raili Pönni acts as Aalto University’s Development Director since 2024. She is responsible for the university’s strategic planning, public relations and global networks.
Pönni has a Doctor of Science degree from Aalto University in the field of chemical engineering. She has a long experience of development positions at Aalto University. Pönni was appointed Head of Planning at Aalto in 2018, and since 2023 has worked as interim Development Director.
Earlier, she acted in the role of Development Manager at the Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering. Pönni is an active member in international university networks, and she has been awarded by Aalto University for her professional merits.
Raili is a HUMANE Summer School alumnus from 2018 and HUMANE Professional Pathway Programme alumnus from 2023-2024. She serves in the HUMANE steering committee for alumni network.
