HUMANE’s Barcelona Winter School is an intensive, peer learning experience, themed around achieving lasting changes in strategy and policy in internationalisation.

Preparing for Strategic Professional Leadership
The 2027 edition of the Leadership Programme “Preparing for Strategic Professional leadership” is designed to cultivate the leadership skills of experienced professional service senior leaders (e.g. directors and heads of HR, finances, estates, IT, etc.) and large faculties/schools’ directors who aspire to move into more senior positions, become senior leaders of other professional service leaders in their institution and broaden their impact.
The programme will start with an introductory webinar in the Spring, followed by an intensive face-to-face programme in Rome (9-13 May 2027). It will end with a final webinar in the Autumn when participants will present an action plan.
The programme will foster out-of-the-box thinking to enhance participants’ ability to connect and respond to the complex issues that are found in more senior roles, to developing broader perspectives and stregnthen leadership capabilities. Participants will work on their leadership challenges in relation to a current unresolved major organisational challenge in their institution. They will work on their individual action plan to address these challenges which they will take back to their institutions.
