Dirk Mulder

Principal at Mulder PR

Dirk Mulder is the Principal of MulderPR, a strategy and marketing communications consultancy that aims to support organisations with their needs in these areas. While strategy, integrated marketing and communications (including PR) and international engagement.

Prior to Dirk setting up this consultancy he has had extensive experience in International Education and Service Management, most recently working with Allianz partners in the position of Lead, International Student Initiative across the Asia Pacific region. He has extensive experience within the University sector holding positions such as at the University of South Australia as Director: International, Director, Relationships and Strategic Recruitment at Curtin University and Director International at Murdoch University. His views are regularly published in the media and can been seen in Campus Morning Mail and other education focused news outlets.

Dirk holds degrees of Bachelor of Applied Science (Social Ecology) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Systems Agriculture)(Hons) from the University of Western Sydney and a Masters of International Relations from Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia).

Dora Longoni

Head, International Relations Division, University of Padua

Dora is Head of the International Relations Division at University of Padua (Università degli Studi di Padova) in Italy and a member of the EAIE’s Conference Programme Committee. She holds a Master’s in modern languages and literature from the University of Milan and a second-level specialising Master’s in management of university and research from MIP-Politecnico di Milano.

As Head of Division, Dora is responsible for all activities concerning internationalisation, from international marketing and recruitment, international admissions, to strategic partnerships and networks, international agreements, as well as international mobility, and the promotion and management of EU-funded projects. She has been working in the field of international relations since 1996, for more than 20 years at the Politecnico di Milano, and has been active as a lecturer on internationalisation at MIP-Politecnico di Milano, as a trainer in various EAIE courses and as a presenter at various conferences. She has been actively involved in the EAIE since 2005 and served as a member of the EAIE Board from 2012 to 2014.

Bart Van De Laar

Programme leader International Affairs, Utrecht University

As Programme Leader, Bart oversees the university international strategy at Utrecht University, including strategic partnerships, mobility of students and staff and offering a warm welcome for all internationals (gain, train and retain talent).

Ian Creagh

Webinar convenor

After serving 10 years as King’s College London’s Senior Vice-president Operations & College Secretary, Ian now holds a portfolio of roles including Strategy Consultant for HUMANE.  Prior to King’s, he held similar chief operating officer roles at City University London and before that, the University of Adelaide.  The first part of his career was in the Australian Public Service where he rose early on to become a member of the Senior Executive Service.  

Ian is also an experienced non-executive having served on the Board of King’s Health Partners, the Council of Governors of an NHS Foundation Trust, and the audit committee of the British Academy. He is currently an independent non-executive member of BPP University’s Academic Council.

Marianna Bom

Chief Financial Officer, Aalto University

Marianna Bom is the Chief Financial Officer of Aalto University, responsible for the university financial management, campus and real estate development as well as administration of the group companies owned by the university.

Prior to joining Aalto University, she held several senior financial executive positions in the corporate sector; She holds M. Sc. (Econ) from Helsinki School of Economics.

She is passionate about developing the university leadership and administration, bringing the best practices from the corporate sector to Aalto University, without sacrificing the unique traditions of the three historic institutions that formed the university in 2010.

Dr. Raimund Vogl

President, EUNIS

Raimund Vogl is the CIO of the University of Münster (Germany) and is the director of the University IT center since 2007. He holds a PhD in elementary particle physics from University of Innsbruck (Austria). After completing his PhD studies in 1995, he joined Innsbruck University Hospital as IT manager for medical image data solutions and moved on to be deputy head of IT.

He is board member and president of EUNIS (European University Information Systems Organisation) and a member of GMDS and AIS. His current research interest in the field of Information Systems and Information Management focuses on the management of complex information infrastructures.

Chris Cobb

Pro Vice-Chancellor and COO,  University of London

Chris Cobb is Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of London.  He was previously Pro Vice-Chancellor at Roehampton University  and prior to that was at the London School of Economics where he was Director of Business Systems and Services. 

Chris is a former member of the AHUA Executive (2014-2016) and is a member of UK HE Financial Sustainability Steering Group and is also a member of the HESA Data Futures Programme Board.

Chris has sat on a number of national working groups relating to IT in Higher Education. Chris is a member of Oracle EMEA HE Advisory Group and a member of Ovum’s Future EdTech Advisory Board. Previously he has been a member of the HEFCE Shared Services working group. He has undertaken JISC funded research in the use of enterprise architecture within a university context with the specific aim of developing a services oriented architecture to enable shared services.

Chris has also taught University IT Management at the HUMANE Winter School and is a member of the HUMANE Executive Committee and Round Table. He is a judge on the Times Higher Education Awards and the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards, and is also a Governor of Goodenough College and a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and the City of London.

Gary Guadagnolo

Director of Research

Gary Guadagnolo is a director of research at EAB, a global leader in higher education best practice research in operational, enrolment, and student experience terrains. Gary specialises in financial and operational challenges that span institutional strategy to unit-level process improvement. His most recent projects have focused on digital transformation in a global higher education context. Gary has a BA from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and an MA and PhD in History from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Outside of the office, and true to his Texas roots, Gary (along with his dog) is always on the hunt for good hiking trails and BBQ.
