Annual Conference Fee
Staff from HUMANE Member Institutions and Residential School Alumni benefit from the members rate of €785. Non HUMANE Members will be charged €1,085.
The fee includes the two lunches on Thursday and Friday, the reception on Wednesday evening, the dinner on Thursday and coffee breaks. It does not include travel or accommodation.
Non HUMANE Members may attend if they meet the following criteria: they are from a higher education institution that delivers degree programmes in at least two of the three Bologna cycles (BA, MA, doctorate). Non-member applications are subject to review before acceptance. The Secretariat will apply the correct fee.

You are responsible for your own accommodation.
There is always great demand for accommodation and hotels in Edinburgh especially when city events are taking place; as everywhere this drives prices up. It is recommended you book early.
We suggest checking hotel platforms such as booking.com for best offers; all large chains have hotels in Edinburgh and there is also a large provision of Airbnb in Edinburgh.

Meals and Social Programme Information
- Lunches and coffee breaks will be taken at the times indicated in the main programme.
- The Wednesday evening networking session and the Annual Conference dinner is included in the programme will be held in various venues. Details will be sent via email to registered participants.
Phishing and email scams
There is an increasing trend for seminars and events to be targeted by phishing and email scams. If you do receive any communication that looks suspicious please contact the HUMANE Secretariat. HUMANE never works with or promotes any third party travel companies in its seminar organisation.
How to reach the City Centre
Arriving By Air
Edinburgh Airport is situated to the West of the City, approximately 30 – 40 minutes by taxi or car from the City Centre (depending on time of day).
Edinburgh boasts an award-winning public transport system and you can travel from the airport into the city centre by the regular Airlink bus service, or by Tram. Both services will bring you to the City Centre (Princes Street).
Airlink Bus Service: This is a 24-hour service (Airlink 100) and leaves from outside the main terminal. Details regarding fares, timetables etc can be found here.
Arriving By Rail
The nearest mainline station is Edinburgh Waverley, in the centre of the city, and approximately 10/15 minutes taxi ride from Pollock Halls. The price of the taxi is under £10. Most black taxis will accept payment by credit/debit card.
How to reach Edinburgh Futures Institute
From the City Centre the Edinburgh Futures Institute is served by numerous bus routes or can be reached easily on foot.
