Our local organiser has suggested hotels in the neighbourhood of the venue which are shown in the following list.

The best rates can usually be achieved through online hotel providers such as booking.comhotels.com, etc, although it is also worth checking online with the hotel’s own rates before finalising your booking.

Accompanying Person:

Would you like to bring somebody to attend the social programme with you? It's possible to have an accompanying person. The fee is €80. This allows your accompanying person to attend the two lunches and one dinner. This does not allow access to the seminar sessions. Please reserve your accompanying person when you register or email the Secretariat.

Lunch and Dinner:

Lunch on Thursday and Friday plus dinner on Thursday will be provided to participants

Please inform the HUMANE secretariat about any special dietary needs as soon as possible by returning the Participant's Information Form (which you will receive upon registration) to the Secretariat

Social Programme:

Getting to Milan:

By air

From Milan Malpensa Airport to Milan

By taxi:

You can get a taxi just outside the main hall of the airport. It should cost you about 100-120 euro to get from the airport to Milan (1hr/1 hr and ½). Make sure to check the costs with the taxi driver beforehand.

By train:

Take Malpensa Express (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) from the train station (lower ground at the airport) to the city centre (Garibaldi train station, or Milano Centrale train station, then 20 min taxi to the Hotel). You can buy train at the ticket machines near the train station. The ride by train takes about 1 hour.

From Milan Linate Airport to Milan

By taxi:

You can get a taxi just outside the main hall of the airport. It should cost you about € 50-60 to get from the airport to Milan (25-30 min). Make sure to check the costs with the taxi driver beforehand.

By Bus: 

You can get a bus just outside the airport, one way Milano Centrale train Station, 25 min, €5; then a taxi to the Hotel.


Please note that HUMANE and University of Milano-Bicocca will not be able to admit you to the Spring Seminar if you have not registered and have received a confirmation of acceptance from the HUMANE Secretariat. If you are not already registered then please do so here as soon as possible so that you may secure your place and avoid any embarrassment upon arrival at Munich.  If you need any clarification about your registration please don’t hesitate to contact the Secretariat.  We will do everything we can do to help.
