The topic of the Nijmegen seminar was:
Overhead or indirect costs: threat of challenge for university management?
All universities are confronted with a permanent discussion on the level of overhead or indirect costs. Which part of the budget is spend in research and teaching, and which part on administration, real estate, etcetera? What are indirect costs exactly? Is there a “norm” for the indirect costs in the academic world?
