Welcome to HUMANE

Some of the participants during HUMANE annual conference 2010 in Gent, Belgium!

HUMANE was set up in 1997 (<media 229 - download>see HUMANE pioneers</media>) with the aim of grouping all Heads of university administration in Europe in an informal network devoted to professional development and best practice. <media 269 - download>See HUMANE mission</media>.

It has from the outset received encouragement and financial support from the European Commission.

One of the main activities of the network is the organization of 2 days Seminars (+), starting on Friday noon with a welcome lunch, in which all participants have the opportunity to meet/greet everyone in a warm and nice atmosphere.

Just after lunch, Seminar starts based on 7-8 presentations plus discussion on each, with the prime linking factor being the European dimension of higher education.
